With 47 voters on the roll at the 2023 parliamentary election, Guroglu stands 17th among the 25 localities of Aydıncık, and its votes were cast at one ballot box.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to İYİ Parti with 35 votes, while across Aydıncık the leading party was AK Parti, with İYİ Parti here running 63.9 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 39 of 43 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu — 71.2 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 34 of 38 valid votes were 'no' — 71.1 points above the district average.
At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 29 votes, while Aydıncık as a whole was won by AK Parti. First place has changed hands 3 times here since 2009. The electorate shrank from 84 registered voters in 2011 to 47 in 2023 — a change of about 44 percent. The tightest race came at the 2009 local election: MHP took 35 votes to CHP's 23 — a margin of just 12 votes.
