The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2011 parliamentary election it went to CHP with 48.8%, while across Boğazlıyan the leading party was AK Parti with 49.9%, leaving CHP at 30.4%. At the 2010 referendum 51.0% of the neighborhood voted 'yes'; across the district that was 61.7%.
The picture has not changed since 2009: CHP has finished first in all of the last 4 elections. At the 2009 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 49.9%, while Boğazlıyan as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2011 parliamentary election was 71.4%, 10.6 points below the district average.
