Karaazap ranks 28th by electorate among the 33 localities of Çayıralan. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 101 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to İYİ Parti with 54 votes, while across Çayıralan the leading party was AK Parti with 39.9%, leaving İYİ Parti at 31.2%. In the presidential runoff, 69 of 74 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu; across the district that share was 31.9%. At the 2017 referendum 55 of 57 valid votes were 'no'; across the district the 'no' share was 36.0%.
At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 65 votes, while Çayıralan as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 65.3%, 7.9 points below the district average.
