How Baspinar votes

With 32 voters on the roll at the 2023 parliamentary election, Baspinar stands 46th among the 49 localities of Çekerek, and its votes were cast at one ballot box.

35 people voted at that election. AK Parti took the most votes with 30; İYİ Parti followed with 2. AK Parti's share here is 36.8 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff, 32 of 34 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 14.6 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 32 of 35 valid votes were 'yes' — 10.5 points above the district average.

The tightest race came at the 2009 local election: AK Parti took 22 votes to Demokrat Parti's 7 — a margin of just 15 votes. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to AK Parti with 10 votes, while Çekerek as a whole was won by MHP. The picture has not changed since 2009: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 9 elections. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 71.4%, 15.8 points below the district average.
