How Gonulyurdu votes

Gonulyurdu ranks 23rd by electorate among the 49 localities of Çekerek. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 156 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.

The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to İYİ Parti with 127 votes, while across Çekerek the leading party was AK Parti, with İYİ Parti here running 75.3 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 140 of 144 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu — 76.7 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 99 of 100 valid votes were 'no' — 80.0 points above the district average.

Turnout at the 2024 local election was 59.6%, 27.7 points below the district average. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 86 votes, while Çekerek as a whole was won by MHP.
