How Kavakalani votes

A single ballot box served Kavakalani at the 2023 parliamentary election, with 101 registered voters; that places it 33rd among the 49 localities of Çekerek.

92 people voted at that election. AK Parti took the most votes with 53; MHP followed with 24. AK Parti's share here is 4.2 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff, 89 of 91 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 18.3 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 98 of 98 valid votes were 'yes' — 19.0 points above the district average.

The tightest race came at the 2024 local election: AK Parti took 39 votes to MHP's 35 — a margin of just 4 votes. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to AK Parti with 39 votes, while Çekerek as a whole was won by MHP. The picture has not changed since 2009: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 9 elections. The electorate shrank from 135 registered voters in 2011 to 101 in 2023 — a change of about 25 percent.
