How Kayalar votes

Kayalar ranks 14th by electorate among the 49 localities of Çekerek; it had 278 registered voters at the 2023 parliamentary election.

AK Parti took 47.4% in the neighborhood at that election. Across Çekerek the same party stood at 54.1%, putting the neighborhood 6.7 points below the district average. In the presidential runoff Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 98.5% here and 79.5% across the district. At the 2017 referendum 96.7% of the neighborhood voted 'yes'; across the district that was 81.0%.

AK Parti recorded its highest share at the 2015 parliamentary election with 80.6%. AK Parti stood at 78.3% at the 2011 parliamentary election and fell to 47.4% by 2023. Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 96.8%, 6.3 points above the district average.
