How Ortaoba votes

A single ballot box served Ortaoba at the 2023 parliamentary election, with 24 registered voters; that places it 49th among the 49 localities of Çekerek.

The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to İYİ Parti with 12 votes, while across Çekerek the leading party was AK Parti, with İYİ Parti here running 43.0 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 17 of 24 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu — 50.3 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 15 of 18 valid votes were 'no' — 64.3 points above the district average.
