Yangi is one of the localities of Kadışehri; it had 328 registered voters at the 2018 parliamentary election.
AK Parti took 174 of the 302 valid votes cast in the village at that election (57.6%). That puts the village 5.3 points below the party's district average. In the presidential election Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 91.6% here — 6.9 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 95.0% of the village voted 'yes' — 10.4 points above the district average.
