Yangi is one of the localities of Kadışehri; it had 328 registered voters at the 2018 parliamentary election.
AK Parti took 57.6% in the village at that election. Across Kadışehri the same party stood at 62.9%, putting the village 5.3 points below the district average. In the presidential election Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 91.6% here and 84.7% across the district. At the 2017 referendum 95.0% of the village voted 'yes'; across the district that was 84.6%.
The picture has not changed since 2014: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 4 elections. AK Parti stood at 74.7% at the 2015 parliamentary election and fell to 57.6% by 2018.
