Yelten ranks 24th by electorate among the 34 localities of Kadışehri. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 134 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to MHP with 59 votes, while across Kadışehri the leading party was AK Parti, with MHP here running 18.6 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 126 of 130 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 10.1 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 132 of 134 valid votes were 'yes' — 13.9 points above the district average.
The electorate shrank from 204 registered voters in 2011 to 134 in 2023 — a change of about 34 percent. The tightest race came at the 2023 parliamentary election: MHP took 59 votes to AK Parti's 54 — a margin of just 5 votes. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 96.6%, 8.7 points above the district average. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to MHP with 84 votes, while Kadışehri as a whole was won by AK Parti.
