Karapinar ranks 10th by electorate among the 26 localities of Saraykent; it had 295 registered voters at the 2023 parliamentary election.
AK Parti took 106 of the 212 valid votes cast in the village at that election (50.0%). That puts the village 1.6 points below the party's district average. In the presidential runoff Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 88.4% here — 1.1 points below the district average. At the 2017 referendum 91.5% of the village voted 'yes' — 1.7 points above the district average.
The electorate shrank from 424 registered voters in 2015 to 295 in 2023 — a change of about 30 percent. The picture has not changed since 2014: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 6 elections. AK Parti stood at 81.3% at the 2015 parliamentary election and fell to 50.0% by 2023.
