Karapinar is one of the localities of Saraykent; it had 392 registered voters at the 2011 parliamentary election.
AK Parti took 265 of the 306 valid votes cast in the neighborhood at that election (86.6%). That puts the neighborhood 5.9 points above the party's district average. In the presidential election Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 86.2% here — 7.9 points above the district average.
At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to AK Parti with 66.3%, while Saraykent as a whole was won by MHP.
