Karapinar is one of the localities of Saraykent; it had 392 registered voters at the 2011 parliamentary election.
AK Parti took 86.6% in the neighborhood at that election. Across Saraykent the same party stood at 80.7%, putting the neighborhood 5.9 points above the district average. In the presidential election Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 86.2% here and 78.4% across the district.
The picture has not changed since 2009: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 5 elections. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to AK Parti with 66.3%, while Saraykent as a whole was won by MHP. Turnout at the 2011 parliamentary election was 79.3%, 11.8 points above the district average.
