With 128 voters on the roll at the 2023 parliamentary election, Yazikaplanci stands 50th among the 75 localities of Sarıkaya, and its votes were cast at one ballot box.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to MHP with 47 votes, while across Sarıkaya the leading party was AK Parti, with MHP here running 16.9 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 92 of 103 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 5.7 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 101 of 111 valid votes were 'yes' — 10.1 points above the district average.
Turnout at the 2024 local election was 50.4%, 26.2 points below the district average. The tightest race came at the 2024 local election: MHP took 28 votes to AK Parti's 26 — a margin of just 2 votes. The electorate shrank from 211 registered voters in 2011 to 128 in 2023 — a change of about 39 percent. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to MHP with 28 votes, while Sarıkaya as a whole was won by AK Parti.
