How Gungoren votes

A single ballot box served Gungoren at the 2023 parliamentary election, with 33 registered voters; that places it 120th among the 123 localities of Sorgun.

31 people voted at that election. AK Parti took the most votes with 20; MHP followed with 5. AK Parti's share here is 14.0 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff, 28 of 31 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 7.4 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 32 of 36 valid votes were 'yes' — 7.0 points above the district average.

The tightest race came at the 2014 local election: AK Parti took 21 votes to MHP's 16 — a margin of just 5 votes. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to AK Parti with 15 votes, while Sorgun as a whole was won by MHP. The picture has not changed since 2009: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 9 elections. Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 93.9%, 6.0 points above the district average.
