Bektasli-Basaga is one of the localities of Yenifakılı. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 169 voters were registered there for the 2011 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2011 parliamentary election it went to CHP with 104 votes, while across Yenifakılı the leading party was AK Parti with 48.3%, leaving CHP at 27.1%. At the 2010 referendum 103 of 146 valid votes were 'no'; across the district the 'no' share was 44.1%.
The picture has not changed since 2009: CHP has finished first in all of the last 4 elections. At the 2009 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 128 votes, while Yenifakılı as a whole was won by AK Parti.
