How Zincir votes

Zincir ranks 56th by electorate among the 74 localities of Yerköy. The village has a single ballot box, and 64 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.

56 people voted at that election. AK Parti took the most votes with 35; İYİ Parti followed with 16. AK Parti's share here is 20.6 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff, 36 of 51 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — essentially the district average. At the 2017 referendum 55 of 64 valid votes were 'yes' — 19.5 points above the district average.

The tightest race came at the 2011 parliamentary election: MHP took 47 votes to AK Parti's 40 — a margin of just 7 votes. The electorate shrank from 102 registered voters in 2011 to 64 in 2023 — a change of about 37 percent. The village has stayed on the same line since 2014: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 7 elections. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 93.8%, 11.5 points above the district average.
