Kiziltepe ranks 94th by electorate among the 126 localities of Yozgat. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 74 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to MHP with 37 votes, while across Yozgat the leading party was AK Parti, with MHP here running 29.7 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 64 of 69 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 18.9 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 65 of 70 valid votes were 'yes' — 19.9 points above the district average.
The electorate shrank from 114 registered voters in 2011 to 74 in 2023 — a change of about 35 percent. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to MHP with 31 votes, while Yozgat as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 89.6%, 7.3 points above the district average. The tightest race came at the 2018 parliamentary election: MHP took 39 votes to AK Parti's 37 — a margin of just 2 votes.
