About

Sandık Atlası is an independent data project that makes Türkiye's official election results accessible to everyone at ballot-box and neighborhood level.

What does this site do?

Election results in Türkiye are published officially, but they are usually read at the level of provincial or district totals. The real detail lies further down: every neighborhood, indeed every ballot box, has its own result. Sandık Atlası makes that detail accessible. On a neighborhood page you see not only party vote shares but also the size of the electorate, turnout, invalid votes, a box-by-box breakdown and, where available, the YSK's wet-signed tally sheet image.

Where does the data come from?

Every result on this site comes from the open data of the Supreme Election Council (YSK). No figure is an estimate, an adjustment or the product of a model; the number shown is the number YSK published. Tally sheet images are fetched directly from YSK systems, so you can compare a ballot box result against the source document itself.

The national archive section covering 1950–2007 rests on historical compilations published by YSK and is available only at national level (provincial for 2007); no neighborhood breakdown exists for those years.

Our accuracy principles

Analyses

Alongside the raw data, data-driven articles are published regularly under the heading Analysis of the Week. They cover topics such as voter movement, turnout, invalid votes and neighborhood-level change; each one states the data and method used at the end.

Who runs it?

Sandık Atlası is a personal project based in Türkiye, founded and run by Ahmet Yıkar. It has no affiliation with any political party, institution, association or media organisation, and receives no direction or funding from any body. Its purpose is not commercial but to make publicly available official data understandable and comparable. Advertising may be shown in future to keep the site sustainable; the scope of that is explained in the Privacy Policy.
